How to Brush your Teeth, The Proper Way!

 In News

There is nothing more beautiful than a shiny healthy smile! We all know brushing our teeth is an important aspect from childhood – but most of us have some misconceptions as to why we brush. Failing to do this properly can lead to a buildup of plaque, leading to problems such as gum disease.

What is the proper way to brush?

Don’t focus on the quick brushing; it’s never a good practice. To properly brush your teeth, use short, gentle strokes, paying extra attention to the gum-line, hard-to-reach back teeth and areas around fillings, crowns or other restoration.

  • Clean the inner surfaces of your upper teeth, then your lower teeth.

  • Clean the chewing surfaces.

  • For fresher breath, be sure to brush your tongue, too.

What type of toothbrush should I use?

Most dental professionals agree that a soft-bristled brush is best for removing plaque and debris from your teeth. Small bristles with fine edges brush are also preferable, since they can better reach all areas of the mouth, including hard-to-reach backend areas.
